PORTS AND TERMINALS

“Uyuyamayacaksın
Memleketinin hali
Seni seslerle uyandıracak
Oturup yazacaksın
Çünkü sen artık o eski sen değilsin”

“You won’t be able to sleep
The state of the country
Will wake you noisily
You’ll sit and write
Because you are not who you used to be”

Melih Cevdet Anday (1915 – 2002)

Over the years, we’ve developed a practice group focused on ports and terminals that we believe to be unique in Turkey. TURUNÇ’s expertise on ports covers the development, expansion and operation of ports and terminals, their acquisitions and disposals, as well as regulatory issues such as concession agreements, licensing, zoning, terminal conditions of use, environmental issues and employment matters.

We have vast experience representing and working with port and terminal operators, shipping lines, transport companies, funds, financial institutions, contractors, insurers, technology providers, unions and governmental agencies, among other institutions.

Our core ports and terminals team is assisted by our other practice areas including banking and finance, competition, corporate advisory, dispute resolution, employment, funds and technology.

We regularly author the Turkish chapter of Lexology: Getting the Deal Through’s Ports and Terminals title.
