TURUNÇ’s technology practice is one of the leading practices in Turkey and covers, among other things, the following:

• Representation of venture capital, corporate venture capital and private equity funds on their investments in start-ups as well as more mature technology companies
• Representation of multinational technology companies in their acquisitions
• Post-transaction integration advice
• Ongoing advice to technology companies on all of their legal needs, such as licensing arrangements, distributor and reseller agreements, intellectual property protection and portfolio management, data privacy, and employee agreements including stock option plans
• Dispute resolution (e.g., protection of trade secrets, patent litigation and employee disputes)

Well ahead of the curve, TURUNÇ formed its dedicated technology practice in the 1990s. Founding Partner Noyan Turunç was the only lawyer to speak and deliver a paper at the 1st Technology Congress of Turkey in 1998, organized by TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), TTGV (Technology Development Foundation of Turkey) and TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association — Turkey’s most influential business association).

Continuing the tradition, practice co-head Kerem Turunç serves as a co-chair of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Working Group of TÜSİAD.
